Christmas

Kyan was so excited for Christmas that he did a head stand. We opened presents on Christmas Eve at home. We took lots of pictures so I'm going to email them out individually.

He loves his new dinosaur...especially while wearing his new dinosaur pajamas.

We drove to Ponca Christmas morning. I thought Tony was crazy when he wanted me to help him chew up and spit out carrots outside. Apparently it's a tradition with his kids to have half-eaten carrots on the ground around the house on Christmas morning. He leaves the carrots with Santa's milk and cookies so Santa can feed them to the reindeer. I've never heard of something like that before, but maybe we'll start a new tradition with it too.

Mom and Kyan are just hanging out.

Kyan got a big bag of Mega Bloks!

Here is Kyan opening a fun book with sound buttons.

Kyan was so exhausted after opening all of his presents.

Dad and Kyan napped right there on the floor around all of Kyan's new toys.

Kyan is showing his cousin Barrick his new book.

Barrick and Kyan are looking at all the books together.

Here is my Aunt Janet trying to hold up my 28 pound little boy.
Grandma and Kyan are playing on the floor at my granny's house.

Of course granny and Kyan played the organ together. He loves pushing all of those keys.

Then granny tried to show Matt how to play the organ. Apparently it's a lot different from playing a piano.

Grandpa Tony and Kyan playing with the blinky ball. It's just not a trip to Ponca without bouncing around the blinky ball.

Grandma and Kyan played with the MegaBloks on the floor. Kyan thought she was funny when she dumped bowls of blocks on him.

Now the first thing Kyan grabs in the morning is that book. He carries it all over with him. I think it may become the next 'drum.'

Thanks everyone for everything. We had a great time in Ponca. We'll put the trike together and post pictures soon.

Loved seeing your family and the carrots tradition is the best idea ever. I like Kyan's hair cut too, makes him look older though. Seems like you guys had a lot of fun. Love, Mimi
