New Shoes

I've been planning for almost a week to get some pictures to post but haven't pulled out the camera. So no more waiting...these will do for now. Kyan got his new summer crocs last weekend. He likes this new tradition Aunt Mikey and thank you. Just like his daddy, Kyan prefers only a diaper and shoes.
We figured with the toe walking and heel walking that these sandals might be helpful this summer as well...and they are super cute. I am so jealous. Excuse the bruised up head. Kyan is turning into a two year old boy right before our eyes.

Slacker Blogger

I haven't been doing so well at taking pictures and posting them online lately. Here are some recent updates and pictures. Susan came to visit on and off for the past three weeks so that I could attend an Autism Training course. Thank you sooooo much for taking care of Kyan for us, Susan! It was a fantastic opportunity and will be (already has been) hugely beneficial in helping Ky. I can't tell you how grateful we are that you were able to help with that.
Look at this handsome boy in orange. Thanks for the outfit, Aunt Mikey!
Here is Kyan wearing his cute little beach vacation outfit. He is loving his trike outside now that it's nice, grandma.
Kyan's hair has really gotten out of control lately. If I so much as look at his hair with scissors in my hands he flips. It's like a crooked mullet in back with a comb-over on top. I do sometimes like the whispy sides though.
Speaking of crazy hair. Wow, mom! It must run in the family.
So we actually pulled out Susan's hair clippers the other day and were able to give Ky a real haircut. I couldn't believe he sat there the entire time totally compliant. I thought for sure he'd end up with a half done haircut
Mimi and Kyan before she left this morning. (Sniff sniff)
I think Susan looks a little funny swinging around a toddler who outweighs her.
This morning we went to Deana Rose Farmstead in Overland Park for the first time. Wow. It was so cool...especially considering it is completely free. There are tons of things for kids to do there.
So many cute little kid things to explore and play in.
There is a big playground too. Kyan loved going down the slides.
There are lots of different animals there. Here is Ky in the petting zoo with the goats (aka sheep...baaaa). We didn't get very good shots...too many people and too much action.
He loved the goats a lot.
His new haircut is easy to see in this picture.
Here is Kyan going across a kid-sized bridge. Deana Rose was so much fun. We will be going back there again very soon.
