This is just a short post to show you this video that was sent to me by a fellow artist. It's one of the coolest things I've seen in quite a while. For 4 minutes, you forget about all the problems in the world. The back story is just as amazing and you can see it at http://www.karmatube.org/videos.php?id=729

REDRUM
We are ready for Halloween around here. This is a picture of Kyan in his Frankenstein sweat suit. I've been excited for it to get cold enough for him to wear it before Halloween is over. Not the greatest picture but it's all I got.

And this video is my son's disturbing reaction to his first short viewing of "The Shining." Normally his shows consist of Baby Einstein videos and that's it (I promise), but the other day he was napping and I came across The Shining (unedited and commercial free woohoo) and couldn't help myself. He woke up and we came downstairs right when my favorite part was on...when Wendy finally realizes that Jack is totally insane, of course. Kyan thought it was hilarious. Should I be worried?

Matt's Pepper
While Susan was in town Matt and I got to treat ourselves to a lunch date...just the two of us. We went to Chili's and for a donation to St Judes Childrens Hospital you get to color a pepper. Of course Matt was excited to get to color, and check out his masterpiece. So here is Matt doing his smile he learned from Carson. Seriously, doesn't he look like Carson holding up his drawing last month?
He only had four crayons to use and somehow it still came out like this (it was originally just an outline of a pepper). The waitress said it was the best she's ever seen (duh) and said they were going to put it in a frame. The pictures are from my phone so they're not very clear. It was awesome.

Papa Jealous
Sorry Halbert but here is a video we took especially for you. Since we couldn't get a video of Kyan saying "Mimi" this will have to do. You'll have your work cut out for you next time you're here.

Mimi's Visit/Vacation
Susan flew in Thursday to KC. She had it already planned but it ended up being a much needed vacation away from no electricity and a tree in their roof. Saturday we ventured to the edge of Gardner and came across a state of the art baseball field and brand new park we didn't even know existed here. So we stopped and walked around, played and took some pictures. I've never seen such an awesome park with ponds, bridges, picnic areas and every big play toy imaginable. It was pretty cool but hard to tell in the pictures. Here are Susan and Kyan standing in the doorway of a play barn.
